Haha, I mean if he’s going to try and deceive Elrond at any point círidan would probably be a good disguise 👀

Yeah, he’s so lost in his own beliefs that he truly believes what he is doing is what is best for everyone. He doesn’t think his end goal is evil. And the fact that he is so convincing shows the character of not just him but the elves and anyone who believed him.

The show in general just made the characters a little more complex. None of them were exclusively good or evil, they all had struggles and morals that were sacrificed. Or they did things that they thought were good but hurt some in the process. I’m excited for season 3’s character development

I think adar was an excellent addition. He wasn’t necessarily evil, he was just willing to put the needs of his family above all else. I think he show Galadriel that evil and disagreement can be separate. And he showed that the elves might not be so morally pure as they think.

Yes! It gives us a chance to see Galadriel become the elf we see in lotr. She’s still kind of young in RoP so it makes sense that she still has some character development to do.

Fair point. A lack of media literacy has turned it into “ooo pretty lady” and “booo angry lady”

Hell yeah! I don’t really know what clicked the second time around but it did lol. We love a beautiful angry lady over here :p

Honestly, I didn’t like it too much at first either. My friend urged me to watch it again and I loved it the second run through. But we can agree to disagree

Exactly. Real women are not so black and white, so fantasy should be allowed to show that. I find so much criticism of trop in general is rooted in hate rather than genuine care for the story.

I don’t think you know what sexism is bud. Also, you made it your own problem when you interacted with my post. You simply did not have to respond

Sure do! And you’re not really helping your case!

I simply do not know how to feel about this
