In my humble opinion, this image defines mankind’s greatest technological achievement and helps to awaken layman’s imagination of “nothing is too hard”. If only the people of Earth could only understand we are all the same species so why can’t we all be at peace with our neighbours?

Here’s the Helix nebula captured from my backyard. Narrow band fifers used to provide false colour image from a monochrome camera. Taken over 4 nights, exposures totalled just over 10 hours.
