Mike, please refer to “undocumented persons” not “illegal” people — that is racist language we’ve got to remove from our conversations. I shared this because the topic was 💯 then realized the problematic language. Thanks for listening.

Maybe if we didn’t spend so much money on excessive standardized testing we could do better. Maybe if teachers were paid more, class sizes were smaller, teachers were trusted as the professionals that they are ….

At the end he reiterates abolishing the DeptEd and sending educational control back to the states. So if you live in a red state, good luck! They hate education. He says states can’t do any worse than DofE has done and claims we spend 3x more $$ per student than many other more successful nations.

9 & 10. These are very similar. They talk about having more internships and work experience access so as to better ensure student success after high school. They also discuss ensuring job/career counseling being available in schools. THESE PROGRAMS ALREADY EXIST!!
