I take so many beautiful photos and never post any of them. One of my resolutions for 2025 is to change that.

Today's photo is at Occoneechee State Park, on the Beaver Pond Trail. Last Thursday.
A leaf-covered trail lays between trees on either side, with more trees in the background. There is a spotty but almost even layer of snow to the left beneath the trees, and very sparse spots of snow to the right. The trees are mostly leafless, though some orange / brown leaves hold on. They stretch into a bright blue sky with a lot of cloud cover.

A few weeks ago I got to visit Chippokes State Park. The bald cypresses were so cool, I'm glad we went to the end of the trail and then a significant ways up the beach to get a closer look. #nature
Bald cypresses tower over the sandy beach along the James River, in Cobham Bay. The sky is very blue, with few clouds, and it's reflected in the water. Bald cypress knees abound.
