They mention my note on balancing this - each point represents a lot more than one point power. Watch for a lot of ZG the next couple of days. It's already SORT of passable. so if this works it will CRUSH unless the point balance is just right. I worry

I hate that Storm - an interesting early card that requires planning on what to do before and after she is played - gets hit for Legion and War Machine. Alas.
This will matter a tiny bit but the play now is Lockjawing Storm away and the power there is moot.

We all knew this was coming and it cuts 2 pts from the first Torch double and double that going forward. Of course he still gets stupid big.
They say more is coming. but for now it'll be interesting to see if this matters or no

I like the idea of buffing Orka but he suffers from power creep. Can he win a lane by himself even at 18? Doubt it. Outside of an Onslaught's citadel there's no way to abuse this power bc of the "alone" requirement.
Also on a 6-Cost card +2 is more like a +1.

New toys... None! Sigh
Odin, Wave and White Queen all gain a point.
Wave is the most interesting in the sense that they are trying to make 6s better and a good way to do that is to make them 4s!
but as far as the buffs I'm yawning. I have a middling WQ deck if you want

Of course the new player experience wasn't bad. Tedious acquisition of the massive Series 3 sure, but I guess the numbers in were slowing down enough for this.

X- Domino - Shanna
X - Domino - 3 - 3
The latter is pretty guaranteed in this set. Ok I’ll take it for a spin

What's obvious here is that there are a lot of cards with no abilities being put on the board, rocks, squirrels, illuisions. That screams Patriot.
Patriot isn't that great though...

X - 2 - Shanna
Luna demands Mr. Sinister
X - Sinister - Luna
Mysterio demands 2 ones.
1 - Mysterio - 1 or 1 - 1 - Mysterio
If you are fine doing nothing three turns (you shouldn't be) Scarlet Spider, 2oom & Sentry work into a t5 Noir

So now it's 8 which demands you play cards that create other cards in play.
There are "direct" routes
Squirrel Girl - 2 -3
1 - Sinister - 3
1 - 2 - Debrii

4/6 - if you have exactly 8 costs of card on the board put the top card of your deck here and set its power to 8.
Will Noir be so hot he hardboils the meta or will he leave players in the dark?

Hasn't quite found a place yet. Move isn't over crowded so it prefers the 1s that put a few points on the board. Other decks are too tight to put in a "if reach is needed" card even at 1-Cost. Would rather that card either have synergy of be tech like Mercury.

The card gets stupid big. The good news is that nearly always comes with a loss of prio which means he's dead to Shadow King or Shang (and Cosmo hurts too)
Some weird things happen with this card to the point it could be trouble but right now it's a big dice roll.

Superior Spider-Man!
Extra energy has been good but with Wiccan/Hope the key has been more than 1. With Arishem 1 has been good but it's frictionless. With Glaive +1 is good but he directly synergizes with his deck.
SEEMS like it'll find a home but up in the air.

Did they technically work like we thought? Yes.
Did they strategically work like we thought? Yes. I think the community nailed it. Generically good - but generic decks lag. Good in mass-move - but that's clear 2nd best move. Good in move - as like 3rd option

Wait a second something feels awfully familiar about this.
