I reminded a friend recently that a feature of far right ideology is eugenics - take the 'undesirables' out of the gene pool. By promoting quack medicine & arming Americans to the teeth, this administration is getting the population to cull itself, without having to waste any of its own resources.

Remember, far right ideology is also about eugenics. Convincing the morons who elected you to finish themselves off (through disease or unlimited gun availability) saves you the job. And by the time they've done that, you've already done away with elections so it doesn't matter to you.
