I thought the accompanying signage was a bit harsh on the snapshot pic that accompanies this story. Most of us considered it an excellent save to quite a good kick!

All year we've been waiting for more than house sparrows at the bird table! Yesterday we finally got a result 🤣 Not sure any species, great or small, will brave it for the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend mind.

A week after the painful break up with South Shields’ finest, I am coming out of it, ready to move on by transferring my affections to Wearne n Whelan. I like their energy, enthusiasm for signing for @carlisleunited.bsky.social and general chirpy chappiness. Let’s just hope I recognise them!

Goodbye Jon Mellish. Dark days for us fans of your unbridled passion for the Blues, and the robust approach to playing football this brought. No doubt this didn't quite fit for the New Way, but hard work, commitment and ownership are qualities that can't be bought and will be missed 💙⚽
