Back to 40 year old lucky Carlisle shirt. So a bit worn. Like me. Hopefully still going strong by 5pm 💙⚽

Patterdale to Grasmere via Grisedale ☀️The Keswick bus service was brilliant to get us to the start and home again 👍🏼

Hoping the great victory on Saturday bodes well and @joncolman.bsky.social now wins some silverware for Carlisle tonight 🤞🏼. How lucky we are to have such a talented sports writer covering our local club.

Have had to look up what Carabao is. Whilst I'm at it I suppose I'd better also find out what Vanarama is ⚽

Loved visiting here last May and then to find my lovely pal @1steviekilner.bsky.social is a local. Enjoyed seeing this garden again tonight on BBC2 👍🏼
The beautiful Biddulph Grange gardens inspired by journeys around the globe described by gardener, writer & broadcaster as being a “surreal, dream-like mindscape that represented different parts of the world, from different periods of history”.

Getting my PLR statement (and being genuinely touched every year that people borrowed my book) is a chance to remind everyone - *never* apologise to an author that you read their book but ‘only’ from a library. We get a small payment, the library bought the book & we’re made up that you read it.

A collector's item with the Shipping Forecast for Rockall as Storm Eowyn approaches giving not just Hurricane force 12 winds, but Sea State = Phenomenal (waves >14m). Terrifying!

All year we've been waiting for more than house sparrows at the bird table! Yesterday we finally got a result 🤣 Not sure any species, great or small, will brave it for the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend mind.

Late to the Cunk party but thanks @1steviekilner.bsky.social for your recommendation. I am not sure I understand Britain, currently working through that series, but I've laughed a lot!! The Civil war was .... like a fight between Wayne Rooney and Noel Fielding 🤣

Hey, ever need a TV pick me up? Do go to @1steviekilner.bsky.social - his recently supplied list of recommendations has come good today for me. Cunk on Life @bbciplayer.bsky.social has me laughing and crying at once 🤣
