On 14-Nov the baptism took place of Eleanor Young BURVILL in Folkestone, Kent, England. Although in one index recorded under Faversham in error (see image). Parents Robert BURVILL and Esther. Not sure where the Young comes from.

Loving the black aida. Gives a very different style.

I've just finished a postbox, based on design from a Hobbycraft kit, ready to go turn into a Christmas card.

Can we twin it with No Name Street in Sandwich?

On 09-Nov-1788 Landin Gage, son of William and Elizabeth BIRD was baptised at Barham Kent, England. I know from other research that Gage is her maiden name.

Family Research and Ancestry re a 6x Great Uncle. Sadly he died under the age of 2. Image is the entry in Parish Register for the place.

So I've got this photo lined up for one of my on this day posts next week but had to laugh and share.

I now realise where one of this lady's grandchildren gets their unimpressed face from when you try to sneak a photo.

So although not going to properly partake in #31DaysOfGraves did go look at the nearest graveyard to me this morning.

A few of the prompt items identified but what I did find is that where majority of the gravestones were all facing one direction (looking direction of orange arrow to read them).

On presumably 30-Sep-1923 the wife of a 1C 4R arrived in Quebec, Canada on the Empress of Britain.

It had left Folkestone, Kent, England on 12-Sep with Eliza Ann DRAYSON [nee HARLOW] onboard.

She was 61 and had been born in Canterbury, Kent, England returning to Manitoba after a visit.

This week's #52Ancestors prompt is animals.

Now my grandfather, his father, his father and his father were shepherds / lookers and many of the other male family members described as Ag Labs.

So unsurprising that at 8 months old there's a photograph of me in with the sheep and lambs.

However, there were some adverts in the Wellington Journal & Shrewsbury News of Sat, 25-Feb-1922 that caught my eye.

The Whitchurch Brewery Co., Whitchurch, Salop I don't believe is still going or not under that name. Perhaps @morrighani.bsky.social can assist with that one.

There had been numerous complaints to my knitting request as apparently there was the belief that didn't have space for these with my real cactus collection. Think I'm proving they fit perfectly on the shelf. #Knitting #Cactus

Think Ancestry may have broken itself. After this many reincarnations of the same person as their own father etc had to stop at I think 11.

Found this in a bit of tidying up yesterday from appearance with my Girl Guides group on the show. 😛

Not going to risk opening it in case the plastic has affected the ink.

Hi #AncestryHour. Gardening has been a past time of many family members and we've had some weird shaped veg in the past but I'm not sure what happened to the tomato I've just picked. 🫣
