What a lad

Kakuik is my take on a "Sky Islands" type setting, where the primary inhabitants are bird people. I'm trying to develope a rich world and culture, and I'll be posting more art as I make it.

The Wetlands Cluster is the largest Marsh environment in Kakuik. This is due to the constant rains from both Kakuik's Wrath and the Gigas Sea below. This is thought to be the point of origin for the Frutta, or Goblins. This is supported by the presence of Frutta Vale, which is populated by Goblins.

The Sand Sea Cluster contains sand with a special ability to emit magic energy on the wavelength of time. As such, localized Wormholes form here that allow travel into the distant past, but only on Sand Sea Island. Many creatures have been brought to the future from this time period.

The Volcano Cluster has three islands, each of which is made up of Growstones that produce a lot of heat. They are hypothesized to have drifted from outside of the lit zone. The Azarith were introduced into the lit zone from this cluster.

The Seaside Archepelago is notable for its low density of Volentanum alloys, which causes it to float not on air, but on the waters of the Gigas Ocean instead. This is a place where the Shi-Sorah regularly interact with air-breathers, and so it was chosen to be the Shi-Sorah Embassy.
