The Aaa' Nah, or Spooky Birds, are a sapient species of Dragon Bird. Close taxonomic relatives include Griffins and Hippogriffs. Aaa' Nah are adapted for dark environments, and are commonly found in cities built on the undersides of islands. They are believed to come from the Twilight Layer.

The Bubble Dragon is a creature native to Kakuik's marshes and Wetlands. Though commonly found in the Wetlands Cluster in the Daybreak Layer, they are most common in the Whaleshadow Cluster in the Goldilocks Layer, with a particularly lively population on Misty Falls Island.

The Bubble Dragon is a creature native to Kakuik's marshes and Wetlands. Though commonly found in the Wetlands Cluster in the Daybreak Layer, they are most common in the Whaleshadow Cluster in the Goldilocks Layer, with a particularly lively population on Misty Falls Island.

The Ildra'kine (illegitimate Children of the dragons) from Kakuik, otherwise known as Kobolds, are diminutive creatures that are hybrids of Dra'kine and Kakuik Nah (birds of Kakuik). They live for 250 years and can levitate in order to navigate the treacherous sky island reefs.

The Keres are a group of disgraced Valkyries native to Kakuik. They live primarily at lower altitudes, and were cast out of the higher islands due to their lack of faith, thousands of years ago. They have many illusory eyes on their feathers, a trait they share with other creatures from their clade.

These tiny people are well renounded for their magical prowess, and are highly sought after for their small size, which allows them to enter and manipulate machinery in places where large hands can't.

The Kikina'o, or "Clicking Jaws", are a species of sapient insect native to Kakuik. They are underground dwellers, making their homes inside the floating islands of Kakuik. This is because they were once prey creatures to the predators above. Now, they export honey for the other people of Kakuik.

The Wetlands Cluster is the largest Marsh environment in Kakuik. This is due to the constant rains from both Kakuik's Wrath and the Gigas Sea below. This is thought to be the point of origin for the Frutta, or Goblins. This is supported by the presence of Frutta Vale, which is populated by Goblins.

The Sand Sea Cluster contains sand with a special ability to emit magic energy on the wavelength of time. As such, localized Wormholes form here that allow travel into the distant past, but only on Sand Sea Island. Many creatures have been brought to the future from this time period.

The Volcano Cluster has three islands, each of which is made up of Growstones that produce a lot of heat. They are hypothesized to have drifted from outside of the lit zone. The Azarith were introduced into the lit zone from this cluster.

The Goldilocks Layer is the second highest layer of Kakuik's lit zone. It's the area with the highest biodiversity, and has multiple floating oceans, some of which are big enough to extend into the layer below. The Kakuik Nah are native to this layer.
