I got caught in Chicago yesterday due to snow, and they couldn't get me onto another flight until Monday unless I paid $1000 to upgrade to first class. On an overbooked flixbus back to dayton. Woke up too late for coffee to go. I could use it badly

Fun fact that's completely run-of-the-mill if you're from the twin cities, but probably pretty bizarre if not: Minneapolis has a city council ward that neither of the two major parties have held in almost 20 years. Neither even bothered to run a candidate there in 2023.
