It is a big adjustment tho, and having had my Steam Deck for a couple years now I gotta say the controls on it are outstanding. You still have the trackpads, but the sticks are nice to have, and you can really mess with the gyro settings until they're exactly what you want.

Idk if they're still doing it but for a while you could get an official firmware update that turned it into a regular Bluetooth controller with Xinput so it was usable for Steam Games. I have one I did that with and it's pretty decent.

It might be the stupid power saving thing. I don't remember which menu it's buried in but it messed with my network card when it was a problem for me.
