Excellent advice! TY for posting. Keeping cats indoors has its challenges. I solved this issue in 1999, by hanging our artificial tree (allergic to real ones) UPSIDE DOWN. Instead of a tree topper, I hang a giant wad of sleighbells from the bottom. It alerts me to any cat shenanigans, festively!

This artificial tree was purchased in 1999. In 2000, I jury-rigged it to hang upside-down, because CATS. I paid $69.99 for this tree,aking it less than $3 per year 🤣

I lost my brother yesterday to necrotizing pancreatitis. Today, I lost my almost 20 y/o cat Bob. My now widowed sister-in-law also lost her 19 y/o cat Boogie, AND her 96 y/o mom landed in the hospital with pneumonia.
This is, just sayin', too effing much.
