I took the pcb out of my Dazzler arcade cab the other day to reseat the socketed chips and I found a few of these.
I've never seen an IC that looks like this before.

This is my persimmon tree.
It is 5 years old.
The first year it gave me 2 persimmons.
Second year, nothing.
Third year, 20 persimmons.
Fourth year, nothing.
This year, it gave me around 350 persimmons!
If this pattern continues, in 2 years I should have like 4000 persimmons?!

Arcade update!
My Dazzler is coming back to life!
So far, I had to install a new power supply and power cord, install a new marquee light and new bulbs for the coin door. Put in a new joystick and recap the monitor.
I also had to clean out a mouse nest and scrub off 20-30 years of dirt/ dust... 1/2

Arcade update!
My Dazzler is coming back to life!

Say what you will about Temu, but I enjoy laughing at how bad some of their AI product images are, especially the ones with bizarrely proportioned people.

Ok, so I spent about 3 hours removing the old ram, installing sockets and new ram, and it still doesn't work.
My Donkey Kong now progresses slightly further into a garbled upside down game screen before resetting...
Now I need to use my logic probe to try and figure this out.
