i’ll have you know these cats are pure-bred Awkwards who are best known for being raised in muddy shrubs
a tangle of oddly sprawled cat limbs protruding from a donut bed suggesting that an orange and white cat may have been wrung out like a wet dishrag and unceremoniously dropped there a gray and white tuxedo cat happily lounged across a seat, asleep, with one back leg hauled straight upward because she got one toenail caught in the seat’s back so she simply decided that that was how she lived now a quite chubby calico in a very unbecoming human-seated posture, legs akimbo, slumped, and looking convincingly depressed about something (probably being told she had a vet appointment that afternoon)

not sure how there came to be Too Many Apple Cider Doughnuts (inconceivable) but making the extras into a french toast casserole worked pretty great
a small round corningware dish filled with delicious looking-and-smelling french toast casserole made with stale apple cider doughnut chunks. i wish i could also share how it smells because that’s the best part (so far, pre-chomping)

ours was always passive in his terrorisms. here he is realizing we were circling back to the car after a fine walk and objecting to it by simply flopping into the giant mud pit
