2027 media thread (because I accidently wrote 2026 last year I have to be a year ahead to not be confusing)
If I had to pick something I don't really like about this novel, its that despite some great world building, the story rarely actually interacts with it. Scenes mostly involve the protagonists or whatever fight is going on, with them rarely interacting with the world itself in meaningful ways.
3) Sky Pride Book 3: I adored this volume. I loved how they connected ptsd to daoist philosophy, and in such an immersive and convincing way. I think the final tea service scene had some of my favorite dialogue in a Chinese fantasy novel.

the amount of reading I'm doing this term for grad school is a little insane lol. At least there are only like 7 assignments, and only one of them is a really big one (20 page academic paper)

I really want to continue with the Kiseki games but I got filtered hard by CS4's bad pacing and generally mid story and I refuse to skip it. Plus I lost my save so I'd have to start over ahhhhhhhhhh. Maybe I'll just watch a youtube walkthrough some day

I found it really funny that this novel started with the mc monologuing about how he's not secretly high spec like mcs in these stories often are, and it turned out he's actually secretly high spec (surprise!). It didn't bother me but it was silly
51) Read The Number Two Me and The Number One Girl (WN): I had like four more chapters but I couldn't muster the energy to finish it. Kinda mid really. Not bad, but I found the characters a little boring.
