I have a response from Marsha Blackburn regarding her letter to AG Pam Bondi urging her to refer Jack Smith to DOJ for prosecutorial misconduct re: his investigation re: 2020 election. I'm pretty sure she wrote a good portion of that legislation to protect herself and her MAGA Congressional buddies.

This weaponized witch hunt by the Biden DOJ went so far as to issue subpoenas to cell phone carriers to access the phone "tolling" records of eight sitting United States Senators, including myself and one Member of Congress." "... I sent letters demanding answers, accountability, and full transparency from Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile regarding their role in this political invasion of privacy. Additionally, I led a letter urging U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to refer former Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Department of Justice's Office of Professional Responsibility for investigation into prosecutorial misconduct and to hold Mr. Smith accountable with the proper consequences, including potential disbarment." "As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has oversight of these matters, I will continue to support Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Patel in weeding out bad actors and restoring the DOJ as an agency that works for the people, not against them." [I believe she means to reform the agency to work for the Senators and Member of Congress whose phones were "tolled" and not the American people.]

Also in TN - John Rose ignores my emails, too. I don't even get a "thanks for contacting me" from him. He's a black hole. Of course, he's too busy planning his run for TN Governor... Blackburn and Hagerty just repeat MAGA talking points in their very few replies. But I keep emailing daily.
Thank you for contacting my office regarding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). I always appreciate hearing from Tennesseans. SNAP is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and provides monthly benefits to low-income families to help them afford nutritious food. SNAP benefits are distributed via Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards and are based on income, household size, and employment factors. In January 2025, the House of Representatives passed a budget resolution which includes cuts to the SNAP program. The SNAP program has been mismanaged for years, and it is critical we address any waste, fraud, or abuse that may be occurring. I will continue to make sure low-income families who need SNAP benefits the most receive that assistance while rightfully targeting the mismanagement of the program.
