Hey do I have your permission to make this a poster? I’d love to have this hanging up in my little band closet. But I don’t want to print it without permission.

But if you have your own thoughts and feelings I’d love to hear them out, and discuss more.

Like the best example I thought of for that is opening a door. A simple task, but depending on your upbringing that can change your approach, like if your family yelled, or you would get abused, you may turn the handle slowly and approach the door either caution or more awareness than someone else.

I also spent time thinking about things like “normal” and how different that word is for each person, how your upbringing can even alter that word to such a degree that what is normal for you is different for everyone else.

That clarity brought understanding, and through that understanding I came to build the foundation of the life I wish to live. Despite the house may just be bare bones right now it is the first time I’ve built anything for myself. And in that alone I see beauty. A beauty I will continue to grow.
