All my personal information was leaked by my prev. employer (which won’t suffer any consequences), so now I pay about $250/year to a private company to get my info & my kids’ scraped off of data broker sites

The Minnesota shooter apparently used data broker websites to find the home addresses of the people he shot and murdered.
Congress has had years to do something about data brokers and they've sided with the tech lobby over and over again.
Their inaction is deadly.

One of the most insidious media messages is seen in the depiction of people wanting medical care (they paid for) in order to stay alive. Their desire to remain alive is depicted as a greedy form of "entitlement" & politicians' effort to end such "entitlements" is cast as a brave underdog cause.

I don’t understand why no one in congress has proposed amending The Federal Reserve act to include the following addition among the mandates
“Reducing the federal debt-to-GDP ratio to sustainable levels.”
Keep inflation and employment the same , just add to the equation
