My concern was it is a "switch 2 edition" game. While I know that's basically just a DLC patch, I thought there was a chance something in the save struct was diff. Glad to know it's not.

This is actually a pretty good way to play these games cuz it lets you save in sonic 1 and 2, which otherwise have no such feature and make them kinda awful to play on genesis
