After the Dominion War, M'Kano was promoted and transferred to the Sovereign Class USS Pharaoh as the ship's Tactical Officer, Eventually taking the position of Captain of the ship in 2394. in 2409, The Pharaoh was lost in an attack on Earth by the Undine.

some time later, M'Kano would join an Away Team on a joint raid on a Cardassian base behind enemy lines. The mission went wrong, leaving her team and the survivors of a downed Klingon ship to fend for themselves. until rescue, M'Kano would befriend Klingon Captain Rok'Taq.
