63. Cocoon

Cool that there’s a short puzzle game with no text and one button. Makes you feel short. Its elegance becomes a limitation at times and I don’t know how much I’ll remember it, but if you like puzzles, you should play this.

62. Hades II

A rouge like bullet hell masterpiece which elevates the combat and loop of the last game while matching the art and story quality of the last (by which I mean the story is just fine). This will eat so much of this year and I’ll love all of it.

61. No Rights Reserved by Glitch Cat

A masterwork of complextro, electronica and zoomer-music in the best way possible. I’m been looping these bops all week. Not for the faint of heart, but if you brave it you’ll find beats mixed to perfection and your head will bop.

60. Ever After, A Cinderella Story

A fine 90s period piece romance. Silly, colorful and sharp with fun performances. Is it good, absolutely not. Will I watch it with my daughter one day? Certainly.

59. A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J Maas

Emotionally the height of the series. Certainly the most interesting book. It also shows the weaknesses of poor world building and some short sighted plot construction.
Loved watched fairy rehab. Very dope. Good time.

58. The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift

A few pops quickly give way to a messy slurry of poorly written songs with boring music and dissonant tones. Swift has entered her low effort era. Good for her I guess.
Hot take, Actually Romantic is fun.

Nick Fuentes should be proud. I didn’t know it was possible for a gay man to have a haircut this heinous. Like, genuinely boundary pushing stuff.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Daniel Naroditsky, a man who deepened my love for the game more than anyone else.

Naroditsky was everything the scene needed: approachable, humble, relatable, funny, compelling and passionate.

57. One Battle After Another

An unconventional but utterly gripping thriller. Earns its run time by letting an absurdly compelling score lead the action and cinematography. A breath of fresh air from most of politically feckless Hollywood. Not for everyone but I loved it.

Made a spooky season tree with my girlfriend. To be clear, I was purely following directions but it was cool to do boyfriend stuff. I love her more than I can describe.

56. 86 vol. 6 by Asato Asato

Solid plot and character progress make some of the technically dense writing worth it. I am obsessed with these goobers. Some genuine terror in the final sequence. Feels like the author is getting better at writing suspense.

55. Ballerina

A well paced romp of creative and well shot action scenes with excellent stunt choreography all around. Not much more to the film, but what else do you need? Ana de Armas was very impressive.
