By a vote of 73-23, the Senate agreed to the motion to proceed to H.R.82, Social Security Fairness Act. Not voting: Senators Capito, Manchin, Rubio and Vance.

If cloture is invoked on Murillo, expect a confirmation vote two hours later. The Senate would then likely resume consideration of HR 82 regarding Social Security with further votes possible.
