@blakescottball.bsky.social 's Charlie Brown's America is so good for this; accessibly written and deals with subject material that most N. American's would be familiar with using the context of well known characters

When unpacking from a move, you find loads of things you’d forgotten about. The box here is *years* worth of notes and research (doesn’t include all the digital work I did) that went into making CHARLIE BROWN’S AMERICA. Wild looking at it all in one spot!

If you haven’t checked it out, The Penguin on HBO was excellent. It will be a landmark in this new era of streaming TV and Hollywood film interconnectivity. The acting is phenomenal and the writing is top tier.

Someone someday is going to get ahold of my book collection and wonder why in the world there are all these notes about Batman in the margins of this Edgar Allan Poe biography. 😂

Finally got the chance to see CHARLIE BROWN’S AMERICA in a real life book exhibit!!! As a grad student, I used to walk around those exhibits daydreaming about some distance day when my work might be on the table. Now it’s got front row placement at the @OxUniPress table!
