I love that my public speaking class has become a space where my students can safely discuss their personal experiences in communication. Some of their experiences are raw but being able to share our humanity and see commonalities matters.

My child has overcome multiple health crises and a change in major the last couple of years. And now has a full-ride because of course success.
So my response to my dad when he asks again when is she graduating:
When she does.
Her journey has made me incredibly proud.
