Art is essentially a communication between the artist and the viewer (or player). If you replace that communication with AI then what's the point? Did we forget why we're even doing this in the first place?

It feels like most companies are just sociopathic at this point. Just single mindedly pursuing profit regardless of the costs to quality and the people involved in actually making the thing

Every studio going 'all in' on AI is doing it exclusively to cut corners and costs, not to make better games. Skilled workers, whether they're engineers, artists or producers will always be able to make something that's higher quality than AI. The pursuit of profit above all is worse for everyone

Well the doctor's LAST name was Frankenstein, so it makes sense that the monster would inherit the last name. Especially if it was never given a first name, it would just be __ Frankenstein... Unless it's a Mario situation and it's full name is Frankenstein Frankenstein

The fight is really about her moving past the guilt placed on her by her mother and the expectations placed on her by her father, and asserting her own identity and vision within the canvas.

One of the things I didn't realize until watching this (spoilers obv)

The 3rd axon fight is basically Alicia's self portrait of herself (Maelle) fighting her mother's depiction of her in the canvas (Painted Alicia).

Yeah FFXIV is usually the game that I feel this with. There's just so much to it, if you have a completionist mindset it'll completely take over your life.

Usually when I start to feel like a game is trying to take all of my time it just pushes me away. I end up thinking "I could roll credits on like 5 indie games with the time it would take to do this next thing", so that's what I usually swap to.

* I was one of the people who kept working at Motiga when we ran out of funding
* Helped remove mtx from Shadow of War
* Working on couch co op on Xbox
