i think most heterosexuals and even some queer/trans people have vastly underestimated the ability of queer ppl to keep each other alive. we are not asking or begging, we are saying ”your laws are meaningless, we will survive by any means necessary and there’s literally nothing you can do about it.”

NEW from me: a new report found that national resistance to data centers skyrocketed between March and June of this year—especially in red states like Georgia and Indiana:

As we watch Trump & the GOP ignore the Constitution & the concept of human rights in the United States, consider what’s been happening in Canada with right-wing Premiers and Poilievre normalizing the common abuse of the Notwithstanding Clause to make Canada’s Charter of Rights & Freedoms irrelevant.

Consistently impressed at how intuitively my students are able to unpack complex AI policy problems after only 1-2 classes on foundations of AI & AI ethics. Anyone who says AI policy & regulation are too complicated for the general public to understand/meaningfully engage with is completely wrong

Just opened LinkedIn to a thread where someone posts an AI standard, another person flags it's been superseded by a newer standard in the replies, and then another person flags that the newer standard has been superseded by an even newer standard. Done with AI for today goodnight

The EU’s Digital Omnibus could roll back key parts of the GDPR, AI Act, and ePrivacy rules — laws that set global standards for privacy and AI. Leaked drafts suggest companies could get more leeway on data use and slower enforcement, reports Ramsha Jahangir (@ramshajahangir.bsky.social):
