20250328 SPOTIFY – IDOL DIARIES Name: j-hope Go-to song for relaxing on tour? I'm not just saying this because we collaborated recently, but I've loved listening to Miguel lately, especially his song "Adorn"; it puts me at ease. How did headlining Lolla shape your solo career? The fact that I was able to have such a great performance at Lollapalooza helped me gain a lot of courage to build my own solo stage. [Recalls saying to self] 'j-hope, you can do this and take on even bigger challenges, you can do more performances like this now.' I think the success of the Lollapalooza performance made me braver and believe in myself. Most memorable moment of your solo tour so far? I've only had my shows in Seoul so far. But what's most memorable so far is on the third day, the fans took out their phones to sing along to "Sweet Dreams" (feat. Miguel) with their flashes on. It was so special to hear them sing along and know all the lyrics to a song that had just come out. Favourite outfit to wear on stage? I really like my opening outfit. This time, I got to collaborate with a Korean designer, so the outfit gives me the strength I need onstage. The texture is also cool and adds to the overall vibe. Red, all red outfit. It's very hip...hop! How has your approach to choreo evolved for this tour? On stage, I want to make sure to showcase a diverse range of skills by focusing on all my strengths and colours as a performer, which you'll be able to see at 'HOPE ON THE STAGE'. What does 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' mean to you? Honestly, since it's the first solo tour after I completed my military service, I'm excited to show fans my true self. Most memorable moment with another artist? It was when I met J. Cole for the first time on the set of our music video "on the street (with J. Cole)" after having sent him my music. He told me that he wanted to work with me after hearing my music, so when I heard that, it was very touching.
