It’s been a long while since I posted an #astrophotography image, but from my vacation in France I have access to clear and deep skies! Below is the heart of M16, and its famous “Pillars of Creation”.🤩

The Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) is a supernova remnant, giant cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust situated ~2,400 light-years away from us. #Astrophotography #Nature

The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant located 6500 light-years away from us. Charles Messier mistook this nebula for Halley's Comet, which inspired him to create his famous catalog of deep sky objects. The Crab Nebula became "Messier 1" (or M1). #Astrophotography #Nebula #Nature

Here is my galaxy image best-of. Truly incredible what anyone can capture (with the right gear...) from a light-polluted suburban backyard 🤩 #Astrophotography

Good morning fellow Canadians !

I am sure you'll see why NGC281 was named the "Pacman Nebula". Don't worry we're safe, it's >9,000 light years away from us 😅 #Astrophotography #nature

Today I give you "Melotte 15", an open cluster found 7100 light-years away from us, which comprises emission and reflection nebulae #Astrophotography #nature

One of my all time favourite target: Messier 81 (M81), only 12 million light year away from us. For reference, one light year is ~9 trillion kilometres. #Astrophotography
