Off to the Outer Hebrides in a few days to hike and wild camp some of the Hebridean way. Just treated myself to a new tent and tarp to cope with the wind and rain. Wild country helm 2 with alpkit hiking poles and DD super light 3x3m tarp. #ddtarp #helm2 #wildcountry #alpkit

Found a dying young goat with a broken leg on a dangerous narrow cliff edge path. There was nothing I could do for it. Miles from civilisation and I could barely scramble down to the main path myself. Poor thing. At least the white tailed eagles will get an easy meal.

Finally arrived at Carsaig arches. Took about 3.5 hours with heavy backpacks and a quick rest on the way. Wasn’t able to reach the second arch due to crumbling muddy path over the sheer cliff edge. Might try again in summer. #basaltcolumns #carsaigarches #isleofmull #scotland
