If he were to assume the presidency right after Trump’s term ended, what would be his first 3 steps to restore people’s trust in government ? Also, in his opinion, why did Americans elected Trump for the second time ?

1900.
Is the number of nuclear warheads Ukraine gave up in 1994 for security commitments from the USA, Russia and UK confirmed in the Budapest memorandum in 1994 and the joint declaration in 2009. All in exchange for security assurances that are now worthless.

Nuclear proliferation is now the only choice for smaller nations to preserve sovereignty.

What an opportunity wasted. Turning Russian assets into defense production by EU/UK for Ukraine would create jobs in EU/UK and help 🇺🇦.

(In fact, he probably expressed the opinion of most sane world leaders) but because Ukraine needs US weapons and EU and UK are not yet at the military production capacity to fully replace what is needed. There is no shame in it; since any good leader puts the country’s survival first.

Recent one to try is also Eugene Finkel “Intent to Destroy: Russia’s Two-Hundred-Year Quest to Dominate Ukraine”

Essential today to get some historical perspective “ Black Hundred: Rise of the Extreme Right in Russia” by Walter Laqueur May be out of print but getting a used one in good condition should not be a problem. Also “Lost Kingdom” by Serhii Plokhy is excellent.

Almost forgot; this is a good one too, “The War Came To Us: Life and Death in Ukraine” -- A Waterstones Book of the Year 2023, by Christopher Miller

Another good one , “The Russo-Ukrainian War: The Return of History”, by Serhii Plokhy

Hi, I would start with “Our Enemies Will Vanish: The Russian Invasion and Ukraine's War of Independence”; by Yaroslav Trofimov.
