Fictional Non-Fiction Day 6 - Twin Peaks had support material during the first run - including a cassette tape! - but I'm going with the Secret History of Twin Peaks. Supposed to be a mysterious file of the strange happenings in and around the area, with historical detours.

Day 5 - In-Universe Non-Fiction: The Lost Diary of Indiana Jones

The Indiana Jones IP would seem rife for this sort of thing, but the 'lost journal' didn't come out until 2008, in support of the 4th movie. Mostly covers the movies and the TV show, although a few easter eggs abound.

Day 4 - In-Universe Non-Fiction: X-Files The Official Archives

Released in 2020, well after the show's heyday, the archives treat each case file as an actual one, with the explanation that a fire damaged the files to explain away gaps.

Fictional Non-Fiction Day 3
The Dune Encyclopedia - written with a scholarly perspective by various people with the blessings of Frank Herbert, with the idea of being from Leto II's hidden vaults. Unfortunately, it was wholly ignored by his son and has mostly been forgotten.

Day 2 of in-universe non-fiction
The Compleat Ankh-Morpork. Early in writing his satirical fantasy series, Discworld, author Terry Pratchett declared his world 'unmappable' - but came round in the end, and they have some of the most detailed world-building books.

I'd like to talk about a particular subgenre of books that I like to read and collect: namely, in-universe non-fiction.
It probably began with the Zork Trilogy of computer games, as each game manual started with a short in-universe book, complete with library stamps.

I'm always intrigued by last-minute comic book story replacements - the solicit for X-Men #35 says "Scott and Jean are back - but so are the malicious Marauders!" and the actual comic has absolutely no trace of the Marauders

Continuing to read my 30 years of X-Men comics and currently in the doldrums of Scott Lobdell's placeholder run on Excalibur, wherein "Douglock" (Warlock with Cypher's memories) joins the team, and Captain Britain is briefly "Britannic".

There's always the infamous cover of "The Colour of Magic" where the artist misinterpreted the glasses-wearing Twoflower being called "four eyes" and literally gave him four eyes
