From the continued Dystopia Chapter - Midwife, aborted - Page 25. The page opens with a wide nighttime view of an ordinary city made up of two- and three-story buildings. Fires burn in the streets and between rooftops in the foreground, their orange light flickering through thick smoke. In the distance, a single large complex dominates the skyline — a broad structure with a smooth, curved roof that stands intact amid the chaos. From the center of its roof, a brilliant column of yellow-white light shoots straight into the sky, piercing the clouds and illuminating the haze below. As the sequence continues, flashes of light burst across different city blocks while fragments of radio chatter overlay the visuals — commanders calling for reinforcements, reporting losses, trying to maintain order. The perspective shifts between low street-level views and wide aerial sweeps, returning to the curved-roof building where the unwavering beam continues to climb into the clouds. The structure itself remains unharmed, solid and radiant at the center of the turmoil. In the lower portion of the page, the scene transitions indoors to a quiet warehouse space. Stacks of crates and industrial materials fill the dimly lit room. Amid these shadows, the masked midwife Angie sits, her knees drawn up to chin, arms clutching legs as she stares forward. Dystopia: Chapter 2 – Midwife, Aborted, Page 24 A flashback sequence - Inside a dim, stone-walled cavern, the Counselor—an elderly man with round glasses, a silver cap and ornamental robes, and an unnervingly calm demeanor—addresses a group of young girls dressed in identical light-blue uniforms. These girls, including Angie (distinguished by the small mole on her cheek), have been chosen to become midwives, destined to serve the Tribunal in a ritual that erases individuality in favor of obedience and unity. The Counselor tells the girls not to worry—each of them is about to embark on a “glorious journey” that will further humanity’s progress. He reminds the girls that they are all merely “tools” of the Tribunal, working together as “one mind, one body, one purpose.” The counselor gestures expansively, his tone that of both scientist and preacher. Their questions, he says, are best left unanswered until “the process” begins—then they will understand everything. As he clasps his hands to his chest, the Counselor chants, “We will be one mind, one body, one purpose.” The girls echo his words in perfect unison, their expressions blank and compliant. In the final panels, the Counselor’s voice continues as he gives the command, “My hands, let us proceed.” The girls stand still, awaiting the next step. The page closes on this chilling moment, signaling the imminent loss of individuality as the midwives surrender to the Tribunal’s collective will.

A young Angie sits alone at a small wooden desk, surrounded by a few worn crayons. On the desk lies a simple drawing: a smiling figure with purple clothing, standing among green trees and red flowers under a blue sky. Angie is coloring carefully, but their thoughts reveal frustration — the colors never look as true or vibrant as they do in real life. A teacher, wearing a pale dress, stands nearby as the classroom door opens. Two men in matching blue suits and dark glasses enter. Their appearance is formal and detached, suggesting authority or surveillance. One of the men gestures toward Angie and asks the teacher, “Is this the one?” The teacher leans closer to examine Angie’s drawing, studies it for a moment, and then quietly replies, “Yes.” The atmosphere shifts as one of the suited men raises a small communication device to his mouth and says, “Yes, the potential is secured.” The other man steps forward toward Angie’s desk, extending his hand in a gesture that is polite but firm. He says, “Won’t you come with me, please?” Angie looks up at him silently, her expression uncertain.

Dystopia: Chapter 2 – Midwife, Aborted, Page 21. Angie a tribunal midwife wearing a light blue bodysuits and white battle mask, has reached the chamber housing the massive cylindrical “Ophan.” The midwife has eluded the "tender" and the "guard" who defend the structure. Angie has scaled the exterior of the ophan emerging atop its upper surface. Angie emerges atop the ophan carrying the enormous arm torn from the armored guard that defends the powered structure. Grasping the guards arm tightly, Angie aims the high tech appendage and it's glowing amber energy blade at the conduit that connects the ophan to the network. They swing the weapon slicing through the massive mechanical conduit, sending sparks and molten fragments flying. The sound effect “SHRAKKK!” bursts across the panel, emphasizing the impact. The midwife is knocked off balance as the ophan heaves, electrical energy crackles violently through the severed structure, lightning-like arcs spreading around the room. The ophan hums with growing power, accompanied by the booming sound “THRUMMM!” The ophan explodes in a burst of bright yellow, red, and orange energy - the blast throws Angie backwards as waves of energy spread outward. Near the base of the ophan, the tender and guard are caught in the chaos, their bodies consumed by the fire and debris as the ophan erupts with destructive power, the machinery unravelling.

Dystopia: Chapter 2 – Midwife, Aborted, Page 20. Angie and 8244, Tribunal midwives in light blue bodysuits and white battle masks, reach the vast chamber housing the massive cylindrical “Ophan.” Defenders confront the midwives and an intense battle takes place. The massive Ophan Guard in heavy tech-infused armor with a dimly visible face behind a visor, wielding amber energy blades from oversized gauntlets approaches Angie. From an internal readout, we can see communication and data streaming directly to Angie - the other midwife is showing no signs of life. The Ophan howls in the background. . Angie focuses on the limb that 8244 had torn from the guards body lying on the floor, energy blade glowing. Angie dashes towards the guard sliding to pick up the arm as the guard swings with brutal force, its weapon shrieking SSSZZZINNGGG! Angie rises behind the guard and in the next instant, they leap onto the Ophan carrying the guards arm. Angie scales the side of the Ophan, surveying the battlefield with an over the shoulder glance. Angie emerges atop the Ophan and heads toward the series of cables that connect to the machine and rise to the ceiling. The final panel lingers close, showing 8244's determined face as they focus on the cables and raise the guard's arm and energy blade above their shoulder.

From Dystopia: Chapter 2 – Midwife, Aborted, Page 19. Angie and 8244, Tribunal midwives in light blue bodysuits and white battle masks, reach the vast chamber housing the massive cylindrical “Ophan.” Defenders confront the midwives. This comic page shows an intense battle scene unfolding across six panels. 8244 has suffered a crushing blow that has shattered the lower portion of their mask and brought them to their knees. The Ophan Guard in heavy tech-infused armor with a dimly visible face behind a visor, wielding amber energy blades from oversized gauntlets stands over them. The Ophan howls in the background. In a close up, 8244 looks up at Angie… They are clearly hurt with blood streaking across their features, and they utter a single word, "O-PHAN!" They rise to their feet and re-engage the guard as a "tender" carrying an energized weapon approaches from behind. Again, the Ophan howls in the background. The Tender lunges forward with the energy weapon making contact with 8244's head, streams of energy arc from the weapon to the metallic horn-like forms that sit atop the midwife's head. The force of the energy transfer knocks the battle mask from 8244's face and we can see them grimacing. As 8244 throws their head back and howls in pain, we can see the effect of the weapon. Bulging eyes roll back in reinforced sockets and flesh falls from their face exposing technical augmentations to 8244's skull. Angie observes the aftermath of the battle and we can see their view in "battle mode" through a shaded screen and digital readouts that offer additional detail. The armored Guard stands triumphantly over 8244's crumpled and motionless body as the tender relaxes, a maniacal grin on their face.

Angie and 8244, Tribunal midwives in light blue bodysuits and white battle masks, reach the vast chamber housing the massive cylindrical “Ophan.” Defenders confront them, including an Ophan Guard in heavy tech-infused armor with a dimly visible face behind a visor, wielding amber energy blades from oversized gauntlets. During the fight, 8244 grapples with the guard, ripping off its arm at the shoulder. The guards severed arm falls to the floor, blade still glowing. Unfazed, the guard counters with a powerful punch that shatters 8244’s mask, sending blood and fragments flying.

Angie and 8244, Tribunal midwives dressed in light blue body suits with bright white battle masks have fought their way to the "Ophan". In an expansive chamber with vaulted ceilings, the two are confronted by defenders of the large cylindrical device that dominates the area. 8244 battles an "Ophan Guard" wearing enhanced armor and whose face can be dimly seen behind a protective visor. The guard wields amber energy blades that originate in oversized gauntlets on both hands. A hiss emits from the guards visor as 8244 lands a solid kick. The midwife vaults down the steps to the ground floor of the large chamber and is pursued by the guard who leaps and lands on the lower stairs crushing the steps. 8244 slides forward kicking the guard in the ankle and forcing them off balance. As 8244 rises and grabs one of the guards arms they strain as they pull on the arm, until the arm tears free guards body at the shoulder.

In an expansive chamber with vaulted ceilings, the two are confronted by defenders of the large cylindrical device that dominates the area. Angie engages with a "tender" wearing energy protective gear and wielding a weapon resembling a large tuning fork, dispatching them with ease. Meanwhile, 8244 battles a "guard" wearing enhanced armor and whose face can be dimly seen behind a protective visor. The guard wields amber energy blades that originate in oversized gauntlets on both hands. Viewing the fight, Angie reflects that the soldier must be “vat-grown” to be fast enough to avoid 8244's onslaught. The fierce battle continues as Angie prepares to join.

From the continuing webcomic series Dystopia: Chapter 2 - Midwife, aborted Page 15. Angie and 8244, midwives dressed in light blue body suits and bright white battle masks have fought their way to the "Ophan". In an expansive chamber with vaulted ceilings, the Ophan dominates the space… A towering, cylindrical machine lined with three rows of pods that line the exterior circumference of the cylinder. Encased within each pod of the mechanical structure is a human figure restrained and physically connected to the machine. Angie approaches one of the "supplicants" secured upright to machine, metal restraints around his wrists. His body is thin and veiny, and we can see energy streaming from their eyes. The supplicant screams in a combination of rage, confusion, and pain as energy continues to emit from their glowing red eyes. As Angie approaches the Ophan, their vision is increasingly obscured by digital distortion and a nefeshim comes into the picture. The flying sprite-like creature turns to face Angie revealing a thin, boney body and a head with one enormous green eye.

Angie and 8244, midwives dressed in light blue body suits and bright white battle masks stand on a balcony in a an expansive chamber with stone walls and vaulted ceilings. They gaze upon the Ophan which dominates the space… A towering, cylindrical machine lined with three rows of pods that line the exterior circumference of the cylinder. Encased within each pod of the mechanical structure is a human-like figure restrained and physically connected to the machine. The Ophan hums with power, unleashing bursts of yellow and orange energy that spiral upward toward the chambers vaulted ceiling. An armor clad "Guard" has climbed the stairs enabling bright red energy blades from their oversized fists. Meanwhile, a "tender" emerges wearing protective overalls and gear. They hold what appears to be a large tuning fork that attracts bolts of energy that arc off the walls of the Ophan. The border of the panel is filled with a distorted view of information, interference, and clouded vision that includes text chanting in Latin: “Fortitudo Tribunalis! Fortitudo Mentis! Fortitudo Animae! Obedientia Tribunalis!” (Strength of the Tribunal! Strength of Mind! Strength of Soul! Obedience to the Tribunal!). The "tender" grips his tool tightly, as the midwives leap into action.

From the continuing webcomic series Dystopia: Midwife, aborted - Page 12. Angie and 8244, midwives dressed in light blue body suits and bright white battle masks pass through a doorway, entering a balcony in a an expansive chamber with stone walls and vaulted ceilings. They gaze up at the object of their search, the Ophan which dominates the space… The Ophan is revealed to be a towering, cylindrical machine lined with three rows of pods that line the exterior circumference of the cylinder. Encased within each pod of the mechanical structure is a human-like figure restrained and physically connected to the machine. It is difficult to tell how many people are contained within the Ophan, but we imagine that it is between 20-30 individuals. The Ophan hums with power, unleashing bursts of yellow and orange energy that spiral upward toward the chambers vaulted ceiling. Surrounding the top of the machine are glowing, ethereal beings—small entities we have come to know as the Nefeshim, flying and interacting with the surging energy. The Ophan produces a guttural and eerie groan, "SKRYZZZZKOWL!".

Continuing chapter two of the supernatural cyberpunk comic book Dystopia: Midwife, aborted - Page 11 opens with two humanoids dressed in blue body suits and white battle masks continue their search for the "Ophan" in a sterile research facility. Nefeshim can be seen flying above the two midwives, leaving a trail of energy. 8244 regains their composure and the two identify the path forward… a hallway leading to a reinforced door. On the door, we see the midwife symbol, cupped hands holding an large green eye radiating energy. Alerts are communicated to the midwives through an internal network connection and they conclude that the facility is in the midst of a tense security crisis. In addition to their exploration, other events demand attention of the facility's security force. Above the midwife symbol on the door, we see a large roman numeral two, "II". Nefeshim continue to fly nearby as the Counselor, speaking from wall mounted loud speakers continues their effort to convince the midwives to end their search and return. Reaching forward, Angie hesitates and is encouraged by 8244 to focus their efforts in opening the reinforced door. As Angie turns the handle and opens the door, a stream of Nefeshim emerges from the opening and an anguished scream originates from the opposite side of the door.

Continuing chapter two of the supernatural cyberpunk comic book Dystopia: Midwife, aborted - Page 10 opens in what appears to be a sterile medical or research facility. Angie and 8244, blue-skinned synthetically enhanced humanoids wearing white face masks navigate hallways in search of the Ophan. 8244 is mesmerized by the voice of the "Counselor" emitting from wall mounted loud speakers. Angie attempts to break the trance through a leg sweep intended to knock 8244 to the ground and is met with a swift and powerful counterattack. After a dramatic leap and flip, 8244 lands in a defensive crouch, breathing heavily. As 8244 calms, we witness a transformation as their hand reduces to its original size and the skin that is stretched across their face relaxes and appears normal. In a calm moment after the skirmish, 8244 explains that someone once told her she was perfect, expressing lingering emotional conflict. Angie gently explains that 8244 had been fading, implying a loss of self-control. The conversation culminates as Angie reflects on their shared past, each chosen for their rare mental resilience to intense psychological conditioning by "the doctors."

Page 8 of the Dystopia: Midwife, aborted comic book. Angie, a blue-skinned synthetic humanoid known as a midwife speaks with another midwife we know only as 8244 in a dim hallway. Angie asks, “Are we leaving?” and 8244 responds, confused, “Aren’t we supposed to? I thought…” They reflect on recent memories and a shared confusion of their purpose. 8244 shakes blood from a scalpel used to dispatch orderlies that were attempting to contain them. 8244 confirms that the goal is to locate "the Ophan." A loud "RRRRUMMMBLL!!", the result of an explosion or earthquake can be heard as we witness the hallway filled with gruesome carnage - bodies of the orderlies lie bloodied and lifeless. An overhead loudspeaker delivers a calm, eerie announcement from "the Counselor", reassuring the midwives to preserve the serenity of the tribunal.

Angie and 8244, two midwives dressed in light blue body suits and bright white masks engage in a swift, balletic fight inside a sterile, institutional hallway. 8244 is experiencing some type of battle rage, and Angie avoids the conflict through a series of acrobatic maneuvers. As they clash, Angie's monologue reads "Instinct," "To," "Obey," revealing programmed behavior. Eventually, the two midwives lock gazes and 8244 experiences a mental shift or awakening. Finally, 8244 urgently explains, "We have to get rid of the Nefeshim or they... they will be able to follow us anywhere," exposing a deeper threat.

We follow Angie and 8244, synthetically enhanced "midwives" as they encounter staff members dressed in blue medical scrubs. Angie engages these "orderlies" in the hallway, swiftly and lethally subduing two of the uniformed staff who attempt to stop her. One orderly is incapacitated with a sharp strike to the throat and the second is kicked in the face. Through Angie's combat vision that analyzes threats in real time, we can see a third body covered in blood who is thrown into a wall by 8244. 8244 dispatches two orderlies with a scalpel in a blurred high-speed spinning movement. Angie's internal narration reveals their confusion: she recognizes the people as staff, not enemies, but her programming recognizes them as threats. Angie notes that the "nefeshim", flying sprite-like creatures seen in the previous page cannot withstand the midwife combat trance. The final panel shows 8244 emerging from the spinning motion in a sudden stop, arm raised and ready to strike against their fellow midwife.

Two synthetic humanoids we understand to be Midwives sense they’re being observed by "Nefeshim" who can be seen flying around them as they explore the area beyond the examination room. A voice from loudspeakers in the hallways identified as the "counselor" asks the midwives to cooperate with staff and return to the “preparation area.” Digital readouts communicate information and warn the midwives of three approaching human staff members. The midwives enter an offensive trance mode, activating combat protocols. One of the midwives, "Angie" confronts the staff members who are wearing medical smocks and wielding electrified weapons.
