I'm not talking about Gaza. There are millions of people outside of the Middle East who are going to suffer and die under a Trump presidency that would not if Kamala were in office. Every misguided soul abstaining due to purity tests or a narcissistic sense of victimization bears some blame.

Why would they have died anyway? I guess on a long enough timeframe we all do, but we should try and extend and preserve life as much as we can. And the Dems don't care about your protest vote or abstention.

I'm too liberal for Dems as well, but that doesn't mean I'm just going to let things get worse. People are dying right now that wouldn't be if Trump weren't in office. And as a middle-aged white guy, I'm not about to pretend I've been particularly victimized.

I guess you don't need to vote, but then don't be surprised when people think poorly of you for the effects of that decision. I just don't think taking a stance about the FBI being above the law -- which they largely have always been -- is worth millions of dead innocents.

That's at least consistent, but then who would you actually vote for? There's not a single candidate who either doesn't or wouldn't have blood on their hands. Bernie would be drone striking Yemeni weddings after 6 months. And if you think the FBI is above the law now, Hoover would blow your mind.

Ok, but Hillary has shown a willingness to kill civilians as well. So why vote for her? Same logic should apply. She's willing to compromise the lives of innocents.

I think you're using too many pronouns. What are "they" and "that" in this situation? I don't think anyone I know was convinced either side was going to stop the slaughter in Gaza, if that's what you mean.

If you think I blindly support laws just because they're laws you're way off the mark. But if you just want to minimize the number of people our government is killing, there was a very clear choice last November.
