Must have been years since I listened to these pieces by Franck, a composer I don’t care for very much. Bought this CD mainly for Faure, but find myself rather enjoying these Franck pieces as well. #classicalmusic

The mail brought in some good stuff today. HIP Haydn, oldschool Beethoven. And finally getting around to Faure recordings by Thyssens-Valentin. #classicalmusic

My personal vote for best ending in classical music? Martinu - Piano Concerto No.4, “Incantations”. #classicalmusic
The other concertos aren’t too shabby either, but this takes the cake.

First ever listen to a Cantelli recording (Debussy) and probably my second-ever listen to the Martyr de Saint-Sébastien fragments. Sound quality is excellent for a 50s recording. #classicalmusic

Arrived yesterday. I was still looking for a modern recording of the Brahms symphony cycle because I mostly have pretty old performances. So far listened to nos. 1 & 3 and liking it quite a bit. #classicalmusic

Arrived today: Willem Andriessen (uncle of Louis) playing Beethoven Piano Concerto No.4 accompanied by van Beinum and the RCO (1958). Nice rarity published by the European Piano Teachers Association already quite some years ago. #classicalmusic #beethoven

A rare occurrence these days, fresh cd’s arrived. Not exactly “Mostly Mozart”, rather a “Batch the Bulk of which is Beethoven”. 20 euros shipped so basically a steal. Very curious about the Komen performances.

Bought this for a few euros so no problem but this is some weird guitar playing.

Beetje vreemd om aan te slaan op het hooghartig beschimpen van de kiezers als je zelf dit vandaag repost, niet?

I was sure I had this one but didn't recall the cover, but apparently i've got this version. I really like these performances.

Toevallig gisteren zijn naam weer eens tegen gekomen. Mag blijkbaar een hoofdstukje schrijven in een hysterisch anti-woke "wetenschaps"-boekje, waarin ook Jordan Peterson, Gad Saad, Richard Dawkins in staan. Hard gelachen.
