Went chair shopping today and sat in the kind of recliner that might be worth a look: a zero gravity recliner.

I'm doubtful I'm typical but I'd rather have a beautiful watercolor sunset over a field of flowers that just happen to hint at a Frieren than yet another character portrait. Also, landscape orientation is kinda rare-ish and tends to catch my eye more.

If the backgrounds in a work inspire, then let that be the feature. If the sense of movement and flow of a sports series create excitement for you, then feature that.

As an owner of a few hundred pieces of con fanart, what I look for is great art, first, fandom second. I want to see the passion and design sensibilities of the artist.
