We need a new political party to champion the cause of Liberty and Justice For All, one that recognizes Liberty as the absence of unjust authority of any kind and Justice as an exercise of love, not spite - a party whose structure ensures timely accountability and responsiveness to compelling causes
The structures and tools that helped get us into this aren't going to be leading the way out of it.
Televised political debates should include roasters. You have journalistic moderators questioning candidates, candidates giving their responses... with Louis Black and Leslie Jones able to, at any time, mute all the other microphones and call out whatever needs calling out.

"Every man's home is his castle" was a good start to ethical reform of monarchic feudalism, but it definitely made a wrong turn when it implicitly twisted into "Every man's family is his colony."

I think we might have to decolonize the idea of family concurrently with decolonizing our communities.

To consume information responsibly does not ever mean identifying trustworthy sources. All claims must be verified by checking multiple sources that have cause to care about their credibility and by checking that the context that gives the claim meaning is both true and appropriately inclusive.

Reagan championed human centipede economics.
"trickle down economics" is just a nicer name for the human centipede economics and wealth money laundering.

The General Strike/Boycott will have to maintain production and issue its own currency.

The protests of mass expression will have to become demonstrations of mass intimidation until our insurrectionist, treasonous federal government engages in mass resignation.

Displace The Establishment

We should establish a web site that assembles and publishes a list of all Executive officials who have used their authority illegally or in defiance of court orders, given, passed along, or carried out an illegal order, and make it clear that when Liberty is restored, these guys are due for Justice.

I'm sorry Charlie Kirk died by violence. If we could have found out that was a micrometeorite, that would've been awesome. That it was violence, though, is bad for our nation.

That anything depends on the ideology of the shooter is a (fake) hysteria, and incentive to would-be shooters everywhere.

It's not just Brian Kilmeade: the lack of reaction (for four days!) demonstrates that this is how they all feel - they've all either said this or nodded along while they heard it countless times before for it to be so normal to them in front of a camera.

This is not an apology away from being okay.
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."

A political party could start regaining credibility by providing ballot access only to those candidates who first sign a letter of resignation contingent on civil litigation finding they have misled their constituents - an internal, nondiscretionary recall mechanism.

Officers of the Executive who engage in illegal official acts, such as giving or passing illegal orders, acts in defiance of court orders, or denying legislators entry to federal facilities are engaging in insurrection - the Law rules, and they are usurping it.

Nice fasces, be a shame if something got spilled on them.

He's saying he wants your chair, now do we gotta do this the hard way?!

Constitutional Amendment to establish the Territorial State

Let all the non-state territory of the U.S. be admitted to the Territorial State, which shall all the privileges of a state, including representation. This does not exclude any territory from the established process of achieving statehood.

Any federal facility that denies Senators or Representatives entry when the law says they get to enter is captured by an insurrection, and any part of the Executive Branch that sides with those insurrectionists is part of the insurrection.

A better system:

Having selected candidates through primaries, the federal election determines the slate of games by which the candidates will compete for office. While they may have a period in which to train for likely challenges, their general ability to do so seems relevant to their competence.

We have habits in our thinking just as we have habits in our action, and these habits similarly can be built and broken. We can selectively build better habits of thought and break bad habits of thought.

People who have lost bad habits of thought have trouble relating to those who still have them.

The DNC is a private corporation with no obligation to respect a primary vote or the consensus of the party members.

We can't fix them with primaries - they'll shove your favorite candidate off a ballot just like they shoved Hogg off the committee.

The new party should be a member-owned co-op.

I'm often tempted to, when I see I have the spare characters for it, end my message with something like 'edit: punctuation', just to give the impression that I have edit power.

"Oh yeah, the new button appeared a few days ago. Did you not get one? Weird - try clearing your cache?"

edit: mind virus

Margaret Thatcher popularized taxpayerism specifically to undermine the popular understanding of government funding, sabotaging their whole government in a way that hurt her opposition's values more than it hurt her own.

I have great contempt for monetized cleverness that consists of creating a paragraph that would benefit society greatly to read and instead parsing it into chapter headings and padding it out like a high school term paper to get half a year's pay and a ticket to the corporate publishing lottery.

Originality is still possible, it's just decreasingly likely - derivative works are the low-hanging fruit that tempt creators seeking to express themselves. The more rich the culture on which they draw the more likely it is that derivative creation will satisfy their need for expression.

DOGE - not just this implementation of it, but the very idea of it - is to the Presidency as the Shogun is to the Emperor, or the Chamberlain to a stricken King: a total usurpation.

Government efficiency is what a Head of Government does.

This is what effective messaging looks like - this is what we should be expecting from the elected political opposition to the party of fascism.
Americans value our freedoms – but Trump, MAGA and Musk are running a regime of the bullies, for the billionaires. From Trump’s tariffs, to Musk’s hostile takeover, to Congressional Republicans' MAGA Murder Budget, this regime abuses and bankrupts anyone who doesn’t look, live, or love like them.
