There are people in public life clearly and accurately stating the danger to America at this bizarre moment. Those people need support from every Conservative and Liberal American who find our Constitution worth preserving.
Pritzker on Trump sending troops into cities: "He has other aims other than fighting crime... he would like to stop the elections in 2026 or frankly take control of those elections. He'll just claim there's some problem with an election and then he's got troops on the ground that can take control."

🧵IR scholars, let's start a thread of what we know that's relevant for a US attack on Iran. Won't change any minds, but might help us teach this crisis and learn new angles. Please add (incl. your own work!), forgive/correct omissions. Nobody can cover everything and it's great to find new work. 1/?

US researchers, help me out:

More and more of my European colleagues are in the proces of cancelling visits to your institutions. For reasons of both politics and safety.

What is your sense?

How do Europe best support you?

Massive, horrifying news.
Turkish police have detained Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, a key opposition figure and rival of President Erdogan, as part of investigations into alleged corruption and terror links.

It is seen as a major escalation in the government’s crackdown on opposition and dissent.

Trump Jr. is visiting Greenland "in a private capacity" as we speak. This Greenland issue is more real than many of us are considering it to be. It may end with more U.S. bases with special rights (read: protectorate of the U.S.), if not full annexation.

Below the books we'll discuss.

Formally speaking, one can be Prime Minister without being a party leader or even a parliamentarian.
