I figured they were hoping it would pass so they could generally point to in advance of some future xAI investment. If they don’t want it in the ballot they could have just excluded (ordinary biz). Weird one.

The 20 million target in 10 years is a total layup, btw. Already, 8 million delivered (they count). That means, Tesla has to deliver 12 mill in 10 years. Last year it delivered what? 1.78 mill? Tesla could do materially worse and he would still hit that 20 mill in 10 years

This was a weird vote. It has no legal effect whatsoever. I think the board was hoping for a warm, cozy blanket of approval that they could wrap around themselves to justify throwing a ton of money at xAI. But, the vote was more like a thin, cold sheet. Whatever. They’ll still throw money at xAI.
