I highly recommend that if you have not already, you take a look and, if you like what you see, you back it now. This is an amazing team who is really passionate about what they do, and I feel lucky to be part of it.

Oh this is lovely! How did you end up choosing the colors for the horse in particular?

I had moved to Inkarnate because it was easier to use for commercial work, and wanted to get proficient on it. I am more than happy to go back to DD.

And I agree - this was the rock that broke this particular camel's back for me.

Agreed, and I think that is the most frustrating part of this whole situation. We have people at the top who have a decision, and seem to refuse to change it. Reading through the conversation I sensed a subtext of "I am right, and you are wrong. Nothing you say will change that."

Not what I want.

That was almost my exact response as well 😂😞

The post covers a few other things that have happened recently, like using AI Art Assets in an ad campaign.

This was more than enough for me to not want to work with them, which is rather disappointing.

There is a reddit post that covers a lot of it, but to summarize things: Inkarnate is moving towards allowing AI art into their marketplace. This, along with some comments made by their internal staff, makes me (and many others) feel like it is only a matter of time until they start using AI art

@caspi.bsky.social pointed it out to me first thing this morning, and I did exactly what you are doing. It was really unfortunate because they were my go to whenever we needed maps on our projects.

Right? I started using them almost 5 years ago, and really liked them. But ultimately their move towards AI art, along with some of the comments from their staff towards AI, made me unwilling to use them any more.

I saw that the comment was made internally that they were "Not afraid of losing customers" and that take very blatantly tells me their opinions of their users.

This on top of the changes without announcement, and increase in bugs makes me know that I need to go elsewhere.

It ia! WE has really made me rethink exploration and environments in the tabletop setting - something you know I Iove!
