For a bunch of guys in their mid-70s, it was incredible to watch Devo fucking kill it last night. Not only are they fantastic showmen but they are really tight as a band. The most raucus fun I've had since Sleaford Mods. Highly recommend seeing them when they come back in September...

Just finished Omar El Akkad's 'One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This'. Beautiful. Brutal. Brilliant. Scathing. Essential reading for those of us in the West, who need to have a serious look inward and question or challenge our true stance on the atrocities occuring in Gaza.

Finishing up with something fun. SCARE ME was one of my favourite discoveries during lockdown. Has the same big low-budget energy of other modern greats like Cheap Thrills. Clever and original. Highly recommend...

Round two...AFTER HOURS. Fucking love this movie. First saw it at 13 while visiting my cool uncle. He lived next to Lee's Palace and as I heard the low thump of bass and his dishes rattling, I imagined what was happening next door was just as scary/cool/exciting as what was happening on screen...

Spending the day catching up on a stack of Blu-ray purchases that have gone woefully unwatched...First up...VIRTUOSITY. Saw this in the theatre and yes it's silly but also very fun and at times prescient. Not to mention...it has a killer soundtrack...
