Pulled off holding our first children's party yesterday. Community hall, entertainer, party food, cake, piñata, 13 kids. One happy 4 year old. I'm absolutely shattered. Feeling really pleased at how smoothly it all went, as very much outside of my skillset!

Wasn't planning on making a unicorn horn tonight, but the cat sneakily ripped off and ate the horn right off the piñata while we packed party bags. Shape's a bit wonky, but it's sparkly now so I think that makes up for it. I'm sure 3-5 year olds won't notice once they're full of sweets 😂

Weekend trip to the Science Museum was a great time, so much interactive stuff for littles. The Wonder Lab was well worth it for a nearly-4th birthday treat, though I'd love to return on a quiet day with no small person to supervise, to really get a go on all the activities myself.

Always mildly bemuses me (as it sporadically comes up at work) that in the UK abduction offences usually relate to a child, and kidnapping offences usually relate to an adult. Can't change it to adultnapping though, as that sounds like what I'd like to be able to do in the afternoon.

So the journalistic trend to blame millennials has been inherited by Gen Z. Useless feckers can't do DIY on the homes they don't own, and that is for sure their own fault. Something something avocado toast and not buying diamonds.
