Such an interesting touch in the original Resident Evil 1 that you can find Wesker killed by Chimera by the self destruct triggering computer. This wasn’t present in REmake, I wonder if they’d considered it as a way of implying Wesker’s survival for CVX?

Listening to RE1 music while I work today, and like, it's a shame that the Basement Music in Director's Cut is so fucked up because the majority of the rest of the score is actually pretty good. Not all of it, there's for sure a few other... *questionable* tracks, but a lot of it I really enjoy.

I doubt this is much of a hot take, but I'd strongly argue that the GameCube controller is the best Resident Evil controller. The button mapping is perfect, even if most RE games didn't use all of them. Rocking your thumb back and forth between B and A and Y felt so satisfying and natural.

Interesting thing I’d never noticed in RE8: the BSAA logo change is acknowledged. The Medical Checkup Report (dated 2020) you can find in Ethan’s house shows the original BSAA logo, while the BOW soldiers at the end (2021) uses a new logo.
