I don’t believe electoral politics will save us. But I do believe that campaigns like this help us meet our neighbors, clarify our values, and build hope. So this is one of many things we’re doing right now to make it through: making a vat of chili, lighting a fire pit, and inviting neighbors over.

He’s well-known and widely beloved in Providence. Folks are genuinely excited about his campaign. He LISTENS. He sees how our connectedness keeps us all strong. And he has the moral courage to stand up to moneyed interests and ICE. And he knows it’s not really about him - it’s about all of us

David has been our state rep for years. A month after we moved to Providence we’d already met him and gotten to know him. Since then I’ve given testimony on his bills in the State House, called him in emergencies, and run into him at the library and the coffee shop countless times.
