Just returned from The Biggest Week in Birding at the Black Swamp Observatory. It was my first time there, and it was amazing. Met some wonderful people and saw some beautiful birds, like this little owl. Definitely going back next year. 🪶

hopefully he starts singing. then you'll see him. They throw their head back and yell straight up into the sky. usually on a clearly visible branch. It looks exactly like the cover of The Warbler Guide.

A few years ago I was watching vultures kettling near our home. Later that day, snow started coming down. I saw big shadows out of the window. The vultures were circling our house. Then, one by one, they all landed in a big norway spruce in our backyard. 9 vultures roosted in our yard. It was epic🪶
