Thinking about the so-called Google effect and how it results in the formation of source memory over content memory.

I wonder if this renders online and app-based learning less effective, because the brain is storing where to find the information instead of the inform itself.

This cannot be universally true:

We’ve taken biology’s biggest strength and flattened it by metaphors.

Cells aren’t machines, DNA isn’t software, and neurons aren’t circuits. Biology isn’t binary.
