Not very, depending on the level you want to take it to! I love very scrappy, rustic quilts (esp with upcycled fabrics) which are very forgiving and don't need perfect point-matching piecing like the true masters do. 😉 A great way to start is with small projects like placemats or coasters!

Thats why i love hand quilting my sewn blankets, i wrap myself up in them as i go to town 😆

Its weird, I don't like crochet as much for fabrics but i love it for sculptural things lile this 🤩

Yarn production was done EVERYWHERE, people would use drop-spindles while, like, waiting in line at the markets. She could have been spinning her own crewel wool for use in embroidery, a fine pasttime for cloistered royalty.

Yarn production was done EVERYWHERE, people would use drop-spindles while, like, waiting in line at the markets. She could have been spinning her own crewel wool for use in embroidery, a fine pasttime for cloistered royalty.

Yeah thats why i got the colorful AND the black fingering weight - ive realized that a lot of these bright rainbows i love need something solid to contrast against to rest the eye 😂

Well the Juni and Si is a sock yarn and i haven't tried socks yet and would love to try, the two yarn dragon fingering weights are from their "sparkle" line and would compliment each other in a shawl or something, and the Malabrigo Caracols were just cause I'd never seen them before and was like....

wanted, though a decent “wingspan.” but its lace, right, so maybe i block it and it gets taller.
Nope.
it stretched like THREE TIMES wider in wingspan but barely gained an inch or two in height.
So its basically a super long lacy…scarf? which is a thing i guess. But its not what i wanted.
