Hey #knitsky, what do we call it when a sweater pattern is like suuuper loose-knit like this? I kinda want to try a project like this to get an idea of sweater construction and have something loose to wear over tank tops, but i want to shop around for pattern ideas.

Okay so this is my lacy "shawl," and...well....
So i DO like it. This is supposed to be a very free-form, organic style, and i specifically chose colors to make it look like a botanical vascular cross-section under a microscope.

Okay wow, so blocking yall! I finished this basic triangle scarf last winter and my First Real Project, but it was more like a kerchief than a scarf. Since i had to block the lacy shawl I just finished, i figured id try blocking this too, and wow, I love this way better

#Knitsky i need some advice! I am still a novice knitter but am not a novice when it comes to overpurchasing pretty yarns 🫠 I want some suggestions on good projects for colorful twined yarns like this that showcase its chunky coloring without turning it visually into a muddled mess. TIA❤️

After literal YEARS of thinking about it, at the start of this year I finally managed to get the very tall ladder from facilities to add rainbow diffusers to two small, high, south-facing windows I have in my classroom.
And its finally paying off 🤩🌈🔬

So I DID finish one of my summer sewing projects! Made a komebukuro (aka, "japanese rice bag")-style bag to use as a new lunch bag! All the fabric came from the fabric haul I adopted from an estate sale this summer. I love the 90s-quilting color palletes ☺️🥰☺️

Back on my #paracord bullshit! 😂 I played around and came up with this great pattern for beaded key-fobs and started churning out a bunch of fun combinations. The blue beads are actually mood-ring beads and change color. Tried selling some while chilling in the park yesterday but no takers yet ;)
