Started collecting DVDs of the Arrowverse as it's the best superhero TV. It's just so earnest and unafraid to have villains be taken seriously while having silly names like Zoom.

Tried a hand drawn ghibli style character. Partially because I've never tried to draw that style before, but also out of spite because using AI is the most boring way to do it. It's just an HB pencil with Biro inking, then using the pencil again to shade.

Severance gave me a wonderfully stupid idea. Presenting: Heartless Adam Scott!

I got me an accordion :3

Maybe a little fast, but a practice thing for the titlecard of the aforementioned video

I've arranged most of my items nicely to show off the fishing rod and wire. Still need to add a hook and the windows to the sides of the barge, but things are taking shape. A few days ago I didn't know HOW to model strings and now I've figured it out.

Figured out how to make string! A step closer to my final riverbed project. I can use this for fishing wire.

Tried playing with the skin modifier to get the idea of brain coral. This was the first attempt that worked, other attempts didn't look anything like what I wanted.

Been modelling accessories for a bigger project, these are the foundations for a larger piece. Quite happy with how the fishing rod is going so far, just need to model the wire and hook.

Attempting to use volumetric lighting to get across distance.

Practicing distance in blender, I have a plan with the mountains to make them look super far away. That'll be later though, I'm tired.

Lol, I could not have screwed up sculpting this nose any funnier.

Experimenting with Extreme Depth - I noticed whiel outside earlier that things that are miles away, like the other side of a valley, have a blue tint to them on top of FOV that makes them look almost uniform in colour. Tried to apply that here and it does seem to make a difference

I think the hardest thing about art so far is not second guessing myself. For example, in this reference photo, behind the background plants the background really does just become a white void of sky due to that being where the horizon is.

THat's part of why I'm learning Blender, rather than doomscrolling it gives me something more fun to focus on and a sense of accomplishment when I make something pretty like this:

Tried playing with lighting to make my sculpture more impactful. The idea is that you've run into him late at night, lit from above by a lamppost, and he's looming over you.

I did some sculpting practice a few days ago and I'm very pleased with how this worked out, although the hands were very difficult. I've included a picture of the illustration that I based it off for comparison.

Here are a couple of renders that I'm particularly proud of. I'm only using basic materials so far as I haven't got the hang of nodes yet:
